Throughout his career, Joel has held a range of high-impact roles, including Chairman, CEO, Chief Strategy Officer, President, and Senior Vice President of Product. His leadership has spanned diverse industries such as software, telecommunications, aerospace, and logistics. Joel has also collaborated with numerous prominent clients, including Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Jeppesen, Goldman Sachs, Bain & Company, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Chevron, Shell, BP, Cargill, the Department of Defense, and Marconi, among many others.

 

In his role as Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) for a UK-based company with a history spanning over 250 years, Joel played a pivotal role in devising a corporate strategy aimed at achieving $1 billion in annual sales within three years. This ambitious goal required a significant pivot from the company's existing approach and presented numerous challenges. Joel’s strategy included divesting two divisions, acquiring two companies, refocusing the company on a core market, revamping the branding and marketing strategy, and integrating software solutions into the professional services business model.

 

Before his tenure as CSO, Joel founded a software company dedicated to delivering innovative software and services to commercial shipping companies globally. Under his leadership, the company grew from inception to over 200 employees, expanded operations to 11 countries, acquired two companies, secured Fortune 50 clients, and successfully negotiated the sale of the business within five years.
